“Holy moly! What a cool invention!” my wife Kaila said to me as she was doing her daily scrolling through social media apps.
Socket Fan Light has been doing quite the promotion with video and social media marketing and well, it must have worked, because before I knew it I was searching to buy one.
Let me start off by saying that you must have the right type of light fixture for this to work in a room! not everyone has a regular light bulb socket, especially if you have converted to LED fixtures. Also some fixtures have light bulbs that face sideways! This also will not work for those situations!
BUT we just so happened to have the EXACT setup in our bedroom for this light fixture. We also have multiple regular light sockets in our garage where we will be putting the socket fan in next because we love it so much.
Upon unboxing it is exactly as it seems. Extremely simple. It took me literally 60 seconds to go from unboxing to installed and turning on, as you will see in my video of installing and using the Socket Light Fan.
How is the light on the Socket Fan?

One of the first questions I’ve been seeing about the Socket Fan is asking how bright the light is. I will say that there are 3 different light settings PLUS the off setting (so 4 total options). The brightest option on this socket fan is extremely bright. Almost too bright. Then that brings me to the lowest setting. I truly wish there was ONE MORE lower setting than the lowest setting, because even the lowest setting is pretty bright.
That being said, during the day time, the brightest setting is totally acceptable to use, as is the lowest setting. But when its pitch black outside and your eyes are adjusted to darkness, the dimmest setting is a bit too bright for me. That’s about my only gripe with the lighting.
The lighting is very clear and fills the room nicely and looks like a normal LED fan light. I give the lighting a 7.5/10.
Does the socket fan wobble around?

So one thing that I worried about was the socket fan wobbling around. I can say with confidence that no, the socket fan does not wobble around. I give the wobble as solid 9/10 because its truly impressive how easy this is to install and how there’s no wobble.
Is the Socket Fan Loud?
On the highest setting, the socket fan is pretty loud. On the lowest setting, it’s still pretty loud but not too bad. Any of the 3 settings are totally acceptable for sleeping. I give the noise level a solid 7/10 for the price.
Can you feel the air from the Socket Fan?
Yes you can absolutely feel the air from the socket fan, even at the lowest setting. We sleep with it on and it keeps our room nice and cool. I give the air a solid 8/10 for the price.
Overall Opinion on Socket Fan
I give the Socket Fan a 7/10. The things I think it can improve on are having a dimmer setting and reducing the noise volume of the fan. That’s about the only negative gripes I have about this product.
I will update the longevity as time goes on.
